Scrapbook Supplies: The Possibilities Are Endless!

Posted on February 3rd, 2011 by admin in Scrapbook Resources

When one starts to put together a scrapbook, the need for a variety of supplies becomes apparent. Of course, taking a stroll through the craft section at any retail store will give the shopper an idea of the basic needs. These are: a scrapbook, extra sheets for the scrapbook, page protectors, different types of craft scissors, rubber cement, and stickers. While these items will give any scrapbook maker a good start, many more can be used to make an excellent scrapbook.

The supplies needed to make a scrapbook depend on the maker’s intentions. What will be put into the scrapbook? Let’s say it’s a mix of pictures, newspaper articles, and other clippings. For this type, a variety of materials If you cannot view this photo your security settings may need to be changedcould be used. An essential item is rubber cement. It is a scrapbook staple because it allows pictures to be easily removed if necessary. Another excellent option for this type of scrapbook is a package of card stock that contains several different colors and sizes. These pieces can be used to back a picture, an article, or even just to add some color to the book. These can easily be found in the scrapbook aisle and are inexpensive.

One should also consider writing tools. In most craft sections paint pens are available. These add a special touch when used in colors such as gold and silver. Some other writing tools to consider are different types of permanent markers. Ranging from fine point to extra thick, these seemingly simple markers can be of great use.

Most importantly, one should consider the type of scrapbook to be made and keep an open mind about supplies. There are dozens of options to make a memorable, beautiful scrapbook!
